……..my new partner in crime:

J has been hired by Team Challenge!!!!! I’m so excited!

Let me give you a little background: the NorthEast Ohio chapter of Team Challenge was dwindling a year ago and was almost about to be cut from the program since it hadn’t been very successful. Well, a new endurance manager was hired the season I came on board and miraculously brought the program back to life. Normally, each chapter has 2 coaches – a run coach and a walk coach. But last season there was only me because they weren’t sure what was going to happen.

Well, since we were so successful in meeting our goals we get to have both coaches this season. When Ryan (my endurance mgr) asked if I knew of anyone who would be interested in the position I immediately thought of J. He comes to mostly all the training runs, plays soccer, goes to Spinning regularly, and runs races with the family. He’s the fittest he’s ever been and 100% qualified for the job.

It took a little convincing, but he finally realized this was our chance to work together and be a “team” (hehe, get it? Team Challenge?). :)

He’s going to be my partner and get those walkers to the finish line!

I’m so excited for the new season to start next month and training for the Virginia Half Marathon. If it’s anything like Vegas, this season is going to be AMAZING with J on board.

This will be our first time “working” together. I’m excited, but also nervous. Do you work with your spouse? Do you love it or hate it?

Yay-congrats! Brian & I met at work, but worked on different floors. It was nice to go to lunch & see each other thruout the day. We now own business together but he doesn’t work there-he has another job. You know, one that pays. :) Anyway, we could probably spend every minute of every day together & be just fine. We actually like each other a lot. I think you & J will work well together, you seem the same!

i used to work with the BF for 2 or 3 years. It’s nice now that he’s not here but we sure as hell don’t work out together. It just wouldn’t work.

I don’t work with my spouse & I DO NOT think it would work, lol. Don’t get me wrong, I love the man…..but neither one of us takes directions particularly well. Right now we are both our own “bosses” & I think thats how we each prefer it : )

Aw, this is awesome. I’ve heard of spouses who hate doing too many things together, but that is clearly not your case! I hope you both have fun…and develop your loving relationship even more! :-)

I actually met my husband at work, and we worked together (me- part time) for years and it was great! We are actually a great team on the job and off – he’s my biggest fan when it comes to workouts and motivation. It’s a great give and take and one of the best ways we bond – when working out. So I think this is a great idea – I bet it’ll help you two bond even more!
