It Was My Fault….
……..that this happened:

Yeah, ummmm……….that would be a ticket. But not for me, for J.
I asked him to come with me to my appointment at the chiropractor tonight and he drove. Well, we were trying to figure out where to go and turned right on a road that said “No Right Turn From 4 to 6″.
It was 4:55.

J read the sign right before we turned and I said “It’s fine!”. As soon as we turned we saw the cop car sitting on the street just waiting for suckers like us. Ugh.
The worst part is that the cop actually had to explain WHY the ticket cost so much.

That’s $170(!!) if you can’t read it.
It was like he KNEW that this price was ridiculous. He explained that only $60 of it was the fine and the rest was court costs or something like that. How stupid. We didn’t even do anything bad! We were just trying to get to the doctor’s office. Ripoff.
It was also my fault that I ended up here tonight:

Maybe one of these days I’ll learn not to overdo it.
More details on my visit to come, but why didn’t I know you aren’t supposed to wear jeans (with absolutely NO stretch in them) to a chiropractor?! I had no idea (it was my first time!). Luckily the doc was a good sport about it.
When was the last time you were pulled over by a cop? Did you get lucky with a “warning” or did you get a ticket? I got a speeding ticket on my way home from J’s when we first started dating over 5 years ago, but nothing since (knock on wood!).

I got a speeding ticket when I was 19.. my first and only. I was going WAY too fast. In fact, had I been going 1 more mile faster I would have lost my license. Oops. I was on my way to pick up my then boyfriend from break — excited much?
oh no! Re the ticket and the injury
Dude that stinks, I’m sorry!!! I got pulled over once in Nevada in the middle of the night. Apparently there it is actually illegal to drive in the left (fast) lane of the two-lane freeway unless you are actually in the act of passing. that got me a stern warning and I cried. Haha. At least I didn’t get a ticket bc I was from CA.
Ugh! Aren’t tickets the worst! And I HATE when they sit there like a little trap just waiting for people to pull over! So sorry!
Ok so, several things about this post (it’s me, Danielle, Kristin and Allison’s friend that showed up to your class once, and I promise I need to come back again!). Firstly, the street you guys turned on is ONE street away from my parents house. IT IS AWFUL. Secondly, I went to high school with your chiropracter (sp?) and he is a great family friend!
