After reading some of my favorite blogs today, I realized that it must have been the weekend for blogger meetups this past weekend!

Even though some of us had seen and/or met at the St. Malachi race earlier in the day, we had plans for a “tweetup” at the Winking Lizard in Avon. Luckily Avon is only about a 20 minute drive from us (and the Winking Lizard is 9 yr old friendly!), so the 3 of us were excited to go!

Just from reading Kimi’s blog, I knew she was going to be awesome. And she was even awesomer (yep, that’s right, I’m 12!) in person.

We all pretty much just gossiped, ate, and drank for almost 3 hours. I never run out of things to talk about to Alana. I’ve loved her since the minute she harassed J for being a Steeler fan (sorry Babe)!

Sidenote: Luckily C had bought the most recent Pokemon DS game with his birthday money so he was entertained the entire time we were there. I was really impressed with how good he was!! I’m telling you, boys are so easy. He makes my job as mom so much easier.

Anyways, I didn’t get to talk much to the other end of the table, but here we all are before we headed home:

I’m really glad we went. Sometimes I’m a little hesitant to attend the blogger meetups, as I’m not sure who is going to be there, if I will connect with anyone, etc, etc, etc. This was the best yet!!!! Jess and J used to go to spinning together so they knew each other already and her boyfriend (aka manchild) was really down to earth and just a nice guy.

J and Kimi’s husband, Mike, even found out that they are fellow programming geeks. Maybe Kimi and I should get shirts like this to wear to the next meetup??
