What Kind of Blog is This Anyways?
So it seems like I may be one of the only Clevelanders who didn’t know I could get popchips at Target and Heinen’s, huh? That’s probably because I do most of my shopping at the grocery store right at the end of my street. You know, God forbid I actually have to get in my car and drive to the store (I usually just walk!).
But here’s your winner:

Sura!!! Congrats, girl! Now you don’t have to look all over Maine since they’ll be coming directly to your front door.
Anyways, I was thinking this afternoon how my blog has gotten away from the running aspect lately. I know there’s not much I can do until my ankle heals (I have a doctor appointment tomorrow!), but it’s still a bummer.
One good thing is that I was able to wear my tennis shoes today:

I haven’t been able to wear anything but flip flops in almost 2 weeks!

You can definitely tell the right ankle is still swollen (and the shoe is tied a lot looser), but that’s OK. At least I got it on semi-comfortably. Progress, people.
Tomorrow I plan on swimming again (as long as the doc says it’s ok!). This will be my 4th time in the pool. It’s a miracle, but I haven’t drown yet! I have to build up my endurance because training for the NYC marathon is supposed to start mid-July (crap!). Please pray to the running gods that I’m all healed by then, k? Thanks.
Do you feel like your blog stays true to it’s name? Or do you veer from the main topic often and not care?

Glad the ankle is progressing! Fingers and toes crossed for your apt. Ehh i write about whatever im feeling but my blog is mostly cookin
I think mine stays on topic, but who knows. Sometimes you just have to share how you feel. I think it’s great you got your shoe on! Good for you! I hope your ankle keeps getting better!
yikes – that ankle definitely looks painful! My blog varies some from the general “fitness” theme…sometimes including lifestyle stuff, travel, etc. I don’t think its a big deal though…ultimately a blog is just about YOU, ya know?
I cover my ass with the whole “randomness” thing in my title. Had no idea how random it would turn out, but I’m happy with where it is.
ouch – I cant believe how swollen that ankle still is. Take care xx
Hmmm…. right now I feel like I should change the name of my blog to “Jill Might Run” or “Jill Runs a Little”… I’m right there with you, sometimes you just have to go with the variety in topics! Hope your doctor appointment goes well!
Hmmm my blog is pretty random, so that’s true to what it is. PS I’m so sad I didn’t win the chips. Now you have to share yours with me.
Baby steps, right? Glad you got your shoe on!! Hope the dr says you are doing well and that you can start your training on time!
My blog mainly stays on topic, but I do stray every now & then.

Looks like the ankle is healing. It’s so great you are building your swimming endurance. I bet you’ll be an AWESOME triathlete. When’s that gonna happen?
Mine is so true to its name…hence why I have not posted in weeks…due to all the chaos in my life…taking a 4 week intensive Math course has me only logging on to the computer for work or homework…hopefully I’ll be back soon!
So glad that things are starting to look up with the ankle…I am sending good thoughts your way that you will be back to running soon!!
Youre doing the best you can, so I wouldn’t worry about the lack of running on here at all! I normally always talk about food – but I guess that’s because I have to eat everyday anyway

i wish i had a giant eagle super close to my house – prices are cheaper than heinens!
i like to dish about anything on my blog, haha.
I try to keep my blog true to its name but sometimes I veer and I think that’s ok. It is YOUR blog to do with it what you want, right? I love your blog so much because you stay true to who you are, I can totally sense that and I love it.
Good luck at the doctor!! I dislike Heinens. I’m not really the shop in my fur coat kind of gal! As for blogging-its your blog, you can talk about whatever you like. People come on to read about YOU!
I am praying to the running Gods for you or maybe I should just pray to Hermes for you, THe Greek God of feet!
That’s progress for sure!! I’m glad things are getting better!! Take your time to heal properly.
Oh my! I never win anything and could not be more excited! Hello pop chips and thank you Heather! Are you also secretly going to slip in some baked goods?
PS. Be patient with the recovery and keep up the swimming.
Congrats to Sura!! Your ankle does look way better – I am sure the swimming is helping in the recovery.
My blog is definitely all over the map – it started out as Biggest Diabetic Loser, until after 2 years I realized I hadn’t lost a pound!
Now its My Bizzy Kitchen, and I am down 17 pounds – crazy!
Ouch! Hope your ankle swelling goes down soon. I had an awful ankle sprain (on the right too!) last summer, and the swelling went down fairly quickly, but my foot looked tie-dyed for almost three weeks!
I wanted to let you know, since I saw your comment on Biz’s blog about the Dark Chocolate Dreams pb…I got them at Walmart, right in the peanut butter aisle. You should be able to find them there, since I’ve found them in multiple states
