Tuesday Treats – M&M and Chocolate Chip Cookies
I have a bad habit of buying up holiday candy the day after the holiday when it’s on major clearance (even though we don’t need it). And now I have bags of Easter m&ms left and not enough ideas to know what to do with them!
So I went straight to one of my favorite baking blogs for inspiration. She only had a few m&m recipes, so it didn’t take me long to decide on the XXL M&M Chocolate Chip Cookies.
I don’t have a fancy muffin top pan so I just made regular cookies.

But these didn’t turn out so “regular”.
They are AMAZING.
Even better the next day. In fact, if you make these, I INSIST that you wait until the next day to eat them. The flavors are spot on!

Plus, the texture is killer. They’re dense and chewy with just a slight hint of salt (I always add a tad more salt than the recipe calls for – I’m a sucker for the salty/sweet combo).

I still have 2 bags left (one plain and one peanut) – what would you make with them?!

I finally kicked my habit of going overly crazy with the holiday clearance candy. Usually only half of it made it into my planned baking. :p
Those look amazing!!
yummmmmmmmmm! I WANT A COOKIE!!!!!! I love buying candy on clearance too, even if I don’t need it!
Totally want to make these!!! Id eat them straight up
or trail mix
I would recommend making these cookies http://forkvsspoon.com/archives/828 …they are my brothers’ favorite cookies and they are quite tasty and they freeze very well!
Holy cookie goodness. I just say if these were as tasty as they look, you just make more of these!!
Believe me those cookies were so yummy (and I did have them the next day) ! If you want an incredible treat bake these. I still like your cranberry orange cookies the best though ! :>)
“What would you make with them?” Answer: A pile in my hand.
Such pretty cookies. I do the same thing: buy the holiday candy that goes on sale for 50% off. Such a deal and you can make all sorts of goodies.
This is exactly what I would have done with them! My boys LOVE M&M Chocolate Chip Cookies!!! These look amazing!
You could freeze them and enjoy for years to come!
I’m so awful with sugar and baked goods–I have zero willpower! I try to freeze things to get them out of sight out of mind, but I’ve definitely discovered that most cookies (especially chocolate and/or those of the minty variety) are actually BETTER frozen. wah wah…
Those cookies look so good! I love to stock up on clearance candy to keep a stash for baking. Like previous posters though, only some of it actually makes it into baked goods. You could make blondies or rice krispy treats with M&Ms mixed in. I also like to use M&Ms in homemade trail mix.
