Mama Got Some Brand New Shoes

And she’s in love:

With both of them:

Do you know how hard it is to find espadrilles that aren’t 3+ inches tall?

I’m still trying to embrace this whole “tall is good” thing. Maybe one day. Until then I’ll keep rockin the lower heels. :)

Too bad I won’t be able to enjoy these beauties this coming weekend. Instead I’ll be spending my days and nights in these:

And in my spin shoes.

Because I’m going to a weekend camp at Mohican with the Cleveland Triathlon Club!

Talk about getting outside my comfort zone. I’m shacking up in a cabin (for a whole weekend) with people I’ve never met, doing workouts I’ve never done, and hopefully learning things I would have never learned on my own. It should be interesting (and, if anything, provide some good stories!). :)

Do you rock the tall heels??

I love the wedges! I bought a pair a few weeks ago, but I haven’t had a chance to wear them yet :) I can’t do,super high heels… Not so great for music and movement at an elementary school!

I like to rock the shorter heels as well! Both of those shoes are super cute! Your weekend sounds awesome! Have fun I’m sure you’ll make some new friends:)!

I have a huge shoe collection from when I worked in fashion in NYC and they are all in their boxes and get warn like once every 6 mos since I have moved back to Cle. My body hates heels anymore. But they do look good!

I’m only in tall heels or flip flops. There is no inbetween. All or nothing I guess. :)

I need the heels. But, currently, I’m in some flats for the spring. :) I’m scared I’m going to tip over carrying a baby in heels – totally a mental case.

I will rock tall heels but mostly I just love wedges! Love both your new pairs.

I LOVE some tall heels. I’m super short though, so I need all the help I can get. Love those shoes! Too cute!

Okay WHERE did you get those?? I hate that they are so tall, I like 3 inches too, just enough! and I’m short! How tall are you?!

I love heels but they are so uncomfortable now that I’ve been wearing sneaks for so long AND, as you know, when you go out for a long run (2 hours plus), the last thing you want on your feet are heels. I really like those sandals.

As for the tri camp – how exciting! Ted and I leave for McMillans Running camp in AZ next week. I can’t wait! I’m not so out of my comfort zone as you – at least I can sleep in the same room as my hubby :)

Every since I dealt with my IT Band issues wearing heels hasn’t been the same. I’ll rock them for a wedding or something where I need to get my fancy on, but other than that, I rock retro running shoes, TOMS or my sperrys. It’s a shame I have some HOT shoes in my closet collecting dust! BEYOND jealous of your camp! I LOVE Mohican, my HS coach used to take us to Mohichan to go trail running on Sundays, I had a love for running before that experience but running on those trails sparked my full-blown love affair with the sport. You are going to have the best time! I also was as summer camp counselor in college for a special-needs camp in the area, we would take the kids hiking and exploring through Mohican all the time.

Have fun at “Tri Camp” :) I used to rock the heels all the time, mostly because I am “pint sized” but I haven’t been wearing them as much lately becuase I am trying to save my legs and IT bands. I wear them occasionally now and I have a pair under my desk at work but I am sitting most of the day.

OMG, your weekend sounds amazing Heather! So gutsy with people you haven’t met, but I am sure with your personality, you’ll have friends by the end of the weekend.

I am short – like 5.2″ short. I wish I could rock the high heals but I look like a drunk prostitute when I wear them – no coordination at all, so I stick with my flats. :D

Very cute friend!! I don’t wear heels at all since I’m so tall – I know it’s silly! I’ll work on embracing that “tall is good” thing right alongside you :) .

I love the wedges!! Where did you get them? I also like the foot tattoo — what is it? I want one, but am such a sissy when it comes to pain.
