So Many Things

Guys. I miss you. Seriously. It’s been too long. And I hope not to make a habit of it. But sometimes things happens. So many things, actually.

But I’ve been thinking a lot about what I want my “word” for 2013 to be, and due to recent events I was able to do that quite easily.

It’s not easy to guess that I’m a family girl at heart. But I want to make more of an effort with my extended family.

I want to see my Grandma and Grandpa more.

Me and my Grandpa back in the day. I swear he still looks the same today!

I want to talk to my cousins more often, and spend more time with them. They’re awesome people!

Hehe.

Same thing goes for the rest of my family.

We may be a little a lot crazy, but we’re a pretty damn cool family.

Did you pick a “word” for 2013??

We missed you, but I’m happy you’ve been off having fun with the fam.

My word for the year is self-worth. Been spoiling myself a bit in 2013 :)

I don’t get to see my fam nearly as much as I’d like- even the ones who live close by! I should really work on that, too…

I’m WITH YOU on this one. It’s about taking time to prioritize the right ‘things’ in your days — which includes the PEOPLE you choose to surround yourself with. I’ve been prioritizing my sisters a LOT more lately and it’s been worth the effort to see eachother weekly if we can, or more if we can — and with the cutest niece ever if we can too. Family is SO important.

Family is so very important. I am really close to one of my cousins – I see him more like a brother and hate that we don’t get to spend as much time together these days. And I see friends as falling into the family category too. Perfect word!

It’s great that you’re realizing how important family is. M dad always told me; “blood is thicker than water” and as we all get older I’m finally seeing just how true of a statement that is.

No worries! Family is way more important than blogging. Plus you are going to Disney soon!!!!!

    hope everything is ok!!!
i guess if i had to pick a word for this year it would be wedding!

I am so with you on this! You and I are totally living a parallel life right now! I really miss blogging, but I really need to focus on things here right now and be with my boys. Instead of blogging some days, I call family and friends here to check in. Family is definitely a great focus! Enjoy every minute with yours! xoxo

i love the idea of a word of the year … if i had to pick one it would probably be fitness. the past three years have been filled with a crazy wrist injury/surgery and then of course the effects of the motorcycle accident. its just time to be fit and enjoy the exercise. im determined to run that half marathon without dying. so heres to running. i also bought the psycle holiday 3 pack special … which i have already signed up for three classes & then my goal is to go at least once a week, so its on :)

I love the idea of picking a word! And this is a great mission. I called my grandma last night, and was so happy I did that. I love talking to her, but I can be lazy about calling people!

I don’t have a word. Maybe “kind” would be a good one for me?

I was going to write exactly the same as Jess. Family is such a priority right now for me too. Good word. XO @Jess

Great word for the new year. I think mine would be “content.” I see 2013 as very peaceful but also I need to learn to not be too hard on myself and just enjoy myself more.

That’s a great word for the year! Mine is “manifest” because I’ll be manifesting some intentions this year. I don’t like calling them ‘goals’.
