Thanks for the comments on yesterday’s post. It wasn’t easy to put that out there for everyone to see/read. I’ve never been comfortable talking about weight and I wasn’t sure what to expect.
And in keeping with the “shrink my ass” theme, today’s workouts were AWESOME.
Any day that I see an RX next to my name on the board at Crossfit I have to take a picture:
In fact, I’ve only RX’d twice, and they were both workouts with double-unders. Interesting…………
The cool down involved jump rope, too, and after that I tried our gym’s “double under challenge”. After 6 minutes of singles, you do the max amount of doubles you can do in 3 minutes. (my calves are so mad at me from all the jump roping!)
But you get your name on the board if you finish 100+ in those 3 minutes. I did 75. So close……..but not really.
Luckily I love double-unders (weird, I know), so I’m determined to get my name on the board. And soon!
Talk about extremes.
I went from heavy lifting, grunting, and slamming of weights this morning to 2 pound weights, pulsing, and no shoes tonight!
I swear these workouts are the perfect compliment. One helps build my muscles and the other helps lengthen and tone. Perfect!
I had gone to a class Monday night, but tonight’s was KILLER. Like, my quads are still shaking – and it’s 2 hours later. I love a good burn, and tonight’s class did just that (and more!).
I have more to talk about regarding Pure Barre, but I think I’ll leave that to another post. I have a lot to say.
