Let’s Make It a Good Week

February 25th, 2013 Leave a comment Go to comments

Since it’s Monday already, let’s get right to it!

I did great with last week’s goals (seriously, they helped – I miraculously didn’t eat any birthday cake!), so I’m ready for some new goals this week:

#1. NO EATING AFTER 7:30

This can sometimes be hard depending on what we have planned each night, but if I plan ahead I’m sure it’ll be no problem. I currently have a pot roast in the oven cooking away for tomorrow!

#2. GO HARDER AT CROSSFIT

I know this sounds silly to some of you. I mean, it’s definitely already hard. But I find myself holding back during the beginning of the workout scared I won’t have anything left to finish, and then sprinting it out at the end. And instead of feeling completely spent, I sometimes feel like I have something left in the tank. Of course I’m breathing hard and sweating like a man, but I know there are times (like this morning) I could have gone harder.

That shirt should be soaked through!

#3. PAINT MY NAILS

Ever since I stopped getting shellac I haven’t done my nails. The gel manicure was just so easy and convenient (but adds up!) that now I’ve been lazy about doing my own (even though it’s something I love). Pretty nails just make me feel better. :)

Plus, they look pretty when I take pictures like these:

The new Saucony Virrata!

Do you have any goals this week?

What’s one thing you like to do for yourself that you don’t do often enough??

Great goals my friend! Although I suck at doing my own nails so I give you major props on that one…and on not eating after 7:30, I tend to eat fairly late given my schedule so I’d probably starve!! BUT I think if it works for you, do it UP!! I also love the idea of pushing for the win in ANY workout, sweat like a man my friend, you got this!!

Love your goals! I always eat after class around 9 but I could be more careful with what I choose to eat at that dreadful hour.

My goals are to get my 64 oz. of water in each day and get two runs in.

I wish I carved out time for just me and a book more often :)

I absolutely love that you put doing your nails as one of your goals! It just reminds me that I need to do mine! I love Shellac but it is too expensive. My goal this week is to not go crazy without running! A stress fracture sucks.

I’ve been meaning to get a pedicure for the last two weeks. I said I wanted to get one before half marathon training starts and my feet get uglier than they already are… lol

I would really like to paint my nails. I wish I had more time for that, but I always put it off because I should be folding laundry or doing the dishes or cleaning something or working…I think you get the picture. Maybe I will treat myself to a little time for a home mani/pedi?

I wish I had skillz to paint my own nails, go you!! As for me, it’s also hard not to eat after 7:30 if I teach or something, and generally, I always need a little something betwene 8-9, even if it’s a dove promise or something ;-) Though I give you major props for that too!

I’ll be with you on the no eating at night – that is my total downfall! I need a hair cut bad. It’s past my shoulders, and once its long enough to put in a ponytail, that’s all I do – and I am going to be 45 next month – once you get in your 40′s I think its not flattering to have long hair.

I am following you on Instagram! I am hooked! :D
