Back To My Roots
So, you know how I thought it was totally awesome that I completed three 75 lb snatches on Saturday? Ha, the joke’s on me. My shoulders are more sore than I can tell you. It’s quite embarrassing actually. Like, so sore that they hurt to touch. Lol.
So, even though I desperately wanted to do today’s workout, I thought it best that I skip it and give my shoulders an extra day to heal.
Which ended up working out because J asked me to go for a run with him instead! Poor guy is nursing an injury (hence, why he didn’t sign up for the Crossfit Games), so we haven’t worked out together in a week. It was nice!

Mizuno vs. Brooks – Mizuno wins every time!!
The weather was 54 degrees and drizzling and mad windy. But I didn’t mind the wind, it was nice to just run together – we’ve had a busy past few days so it was a great time to catch up and, as backwards as it sounds since we were running, slow down.

(wearing my BAMR band from Katie – I love this thing! plus, it’s crazy cute!)
I definitely have my ups and downs with running (I’d say I’m currently in a down phase), but it’s days like these when I remember why I ever started running in the first place. It was so refreshing! Maybe my up swing is starting – perfect timing since the Cleveland 10k is on the horizon!
What’s your #1 workout true love? I’d definitely say running, but Crossfit is giving it a run for it’s money!!
p.s. The Cleveland Marathon is offering a St. Patty’s Day 2-day registration discount March 16th and 17th. $10 off the full marathon (use code SHAMROCKFULL2013) and $5 off the half (SHAMROCKHALF2013) and 10k (SHAMROCK10K2013)! Register here.

I absolutely love those reminder types of runs. Love that pic of you and hubs too. You look completely happy!
I’m so impressed with your snatches still! Sorry to hear about your shoulders though!!
Runs are amazingly easier with someone to chat with. I love that your slowing down truly is going for a run, haha. I think my #1 workout true love is a dance class like zumba or hip hop when I don’t even realize how sweaty I am
Glad you took a break from cross-fit! I am totally trying Mizuno next time I buy shoes. So cute that yall run together- I just love it. Group fitness is clearly my roots!
I love the headband! And I’d totally have to say running. I really want to try yoga but we’ll see!
LOVE that you two got to run together!! M and I ran together today OUTSIDE (yay!) and Sunday (outside! yay!) and it felt glorious. I really miss that in the winter! I bet your shoulders kill!!!!
The headband is so cute.
It’s great the two of you ran together. I love my fur-faced running partners: 2 dogs, 1 husband
You are still my hero – I absolutely LOVE the picture of you doing the 75 pound lift!!! I am glad you decided to sit out Cross-fit, no need to injure yourself. I have an app that my I use when I run outside so my husband can track me . . . while he is in his lazy boy chair watching t.v.!
I love running but also really enjoy yoga and pilates.
