I’m not one for cleanses, fad diets, or food challenges, but in order to get myself back on the wagon (the past 2 weeks have pretty much just been a free for all) I’ve decided to do the Advocare 24 Day Challenge.
I’m not one for a “quick fix”, but I feel the need to reset. Reset my body and my mind. And 24 days is nothing. They say it takes 3 weeks to make something a habit, so 24 days of no added sugar will be great for this self proclaimed sugar-aholic.
I find I do best when I’m food prepared so I spent an hour or two in the kitchen today prepping for the first week.
Salmon, ground turkey with onions and peppers, broccoli, sweet potatoes, and (unpictured) grilled chicken.
The hardest part will be not eating dairy – I love my 0% plain Chobani – I eat it every day! But it’s only 24 days. I keep reminding myself……….only 24 days.
So, Friends, no tempting me with happy hour, Taco Tuesday, brunch, or “just one drink”. BUT if you want to meet to walk our dogs, go shopping, mani/pedis, or a jog, count me IN!
