Crossfit Open 14.2

So, remember how jacked I was after 14.1??

Yeah, ummm, not so much this week.




  • You have 3 minutes to complete:
    • 10 overhead squats
    • 10 chest to bar pullups
    • 10 overhead squats
    • 10 chest to bar pullups
  • IF you finish all 40 reps in 3 minutes or less than you have 3 minutes to do 12 reps each, and if you finish those, you have 3 minutes to do 14 reps each, etc, etc.

This workout was pure grunt work for me. Chest to bar pull-ups and overhead squats are my two LEAST FAVORITE movements in Crossfit. Go figure. Ha.


I do not make this look easy.


And I have to do chest to bar pull-ups one.at.a.time. Ugh, they are so annoyingly slow.

And they get uglier the more I do.


Haha. Pull, Heather, pull!!!

It just wasn’t my workout. Which is fine I guess.

Especially since I couldn’t do ONE chest to bar pull-up last year in Open workout 13.5:


So I’ll take my score of 33 (10 overhead squats, 10 pull-ups, 10 overhead squats, and 3 pull-ups before the clock hit 3 minutes). I’m OK with it.

At this rate I should be an expert at chest to bar pull-ups come next year at this time, right??!

How do you measure your progress?? I love the Open – shows me how far I’ve come from last year!
