My Races

I’m not speedy by any means, but that’s OK by me.  I’ve come to accept that my body was not meant for speed.  I’d much rather run a 10 mile race than a 5k (not a fan of the run as fast as you can til you feel you’re going to puke feeling) – bring on the distance!

I’ve definitely made progress since my first half marathon, and now that I’m more serious about running (well, trying to be!), my plan is to run a sub 2 hour half marathon, and sub 4:20 marathon.  I was sidelined most of 2011 due to a nagging IT band injury and then a serious sprained ankle, but I hope to make progress on these goals in 2012.  I’m declaring it my comeback year!  :)

    Hey! What race are you running on the 3rd?

    I’d love a running buddy! Though I think you may be too fast for me? I run my long runs on Sunday mornings, how bout you?
