Happy Sunday, everyone!! Boy, will I be glad once tomorrow night is here. I have a big day at work and will just feel better when it’s over. Pray for me that I’ll be able to sleep tonight….

Lucky for me, though, I have so many fun and fabulous things to tell you about from the weekend!! My most favorite was from Saturday. Allison happened to win some awesome VIP tickets to the Fabulous Food Show and asked me to go with her!!

Little did she know what she was getting herself into. You see, I’m a total Food Network junkie. The 2 most played stations on our TV are Food Network and ESPN (you can always tell who was watching tv last – ha!). So when I got her text saying she won a special “Meet and Greet” with Guy Fieri I immediately screamed YES, TAKE MEEEEEEE!!!

We were told to arrive early before the show even opened. We received special passes and got to walk around the show before our meet and greet to see what was happening.

This is what was happening:

Ummmmm…….hello, Alton Brown!!!!!!!!! OMG, how freakin cool is that (I had no idea things were about to get even cooler!)??

After wandering around for a bit, we were led into the “VIP” area. This is where all the chefs got to hang out during the show so they wouldn’t get mauled by crazy fans *cough……crazy people like me…..cough*.

Here’s the set up:

The trailer straight ahead was Guy’s. Our local news was doing a live interview, so we got to hang out while that was going on. We slowly but surely tiptoed our way towards his trailer….

As we were doing this, I was stalking Alton. He had walked past us a little while earlier (I may or may not have actually gasped out loud and gotten hit by Allison), and was hanging out in his own trailer. I was a total creeper and took this pic:

Then it was time to meet Guy. And, guess what?? IT WAS ONLY ME AND ALLISON!!!!!!!! Holy crap – so totally cool. We got to hang out and shoot the shyt for 10 to 15 minutes. He was damn right cool. And, of course, totally outrageous. He stole both our cameras and started goofing off:

The people from the Food Show were generous enough to give Allison and I both our own aprons so I asked Guy to sign mine to C. He was more than happy to do it.

After our “VIP” high, Allison and I walked around the show stuffing ourselves silly (her on chips and dip and me on chocolate – hehe). And THEN we even got to go to his live demo. Just as Guy is, it was high energy, outrageous, and plain FUN. What a great time. He puts on a pretty fantastic show.

All in all, Saturday was a great day. I never get the “star treatment”! It was a day I’ll probably never forget.
