Things Are Getting Serious
Packages are arriving from ING Runner’s Nation:

If you’re wondering, yes, I totally ran outside with the camera when the UPS truck drove up the street. The driver comes to our house quite often (*cough* Lululemon *cough* shoes *cough*) and asked me what the camera was all about. I’m not ashamed that I asked (ok, maybe told) the UPS driver to vote for me on Facebook.
And just as important, I also received this in the mail today:

Whoa. Back it up. This is just crazy talk. Where have the weeks gone? I haven’t even hit my peak training week yet!
I know I will read this thing front to back at least 10 times, but today when I skimmed it this is what stood out:

Can you read that? “Runners will exit approximately one hour after they cross the finish line.” ONE HOUR. ONE HOUR??? No post-race, I just finished running 26.2 miles and need someone to catch me, hug from my family?
There’s no family meet-up area for after the race and they even suggest that you pick a post-race meeting place that isn’t in Central Park since it will be so crowded still. I hope this isn’t a bummer come race day. The finish line is (and should be) the best part!
Things are getting serious, friends. And I’m scared to death. I’m hoping this scariness turns into excitement and confidence soon. I’ve only got a little over 3 weeks left. I die.
Do you run to the UPS man like I do (i.e. like a child)? Or do you have the patience to wait until the package is left at the door?
